Happy Thursday!
I’ve been pretty slammed this week, but I have an exciting interview scheduled to come out in Teen Vogue tomorrow. If you’re a regular reader of this newsletter, I think you’ll enjoy it. Hint: I’ve talked about this group a few times before and had a lot of questions. Thankfully, I got to ask some! I came away with some thoughts about the internet, which I’ll elaborate on next week.
Today’s newsletter is free because it’s just a quick Yap Sesh. See you on Monday!

Things I want to share with you
Beyoncé is returning to the Met Gala for the first time in a decade next year, serving as a co-chair for the event. Despite the fact that next year’s event is being bankrolled by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, I’m excited for the theme “Costume Art,” which centers around garments and the body. I’m hoping for some interesting looks and commentary on fashion and body ideals, but who knows in this climate. I can’t wait for Beyoncé’s look. I wonder if she’ll do something akin to the Schiaparelli or Mugler looks she’s worn on tour over the past couple years.
The new Supergirl trailer dropped and the film has a release date: June 26, 2026. I’ve kind of been in my DC bag lately. I really loved Superman and just started rewatching some of the Arrowverse shows a couple weeks ago. I think Milly Alcock’s Kara Zor-E looks promising. I like how — forgive my lack of better terms for this — Brat she’s giving.
Speaking of Brat, Charli XCX released a trailer for her upcoming mockumentary The Moment, chronicling the whirlwind that was Brat Summer. The film will premiere at Sundance and be released on January 30, 2026.
Hank Green uploaded a video on a subject that has been perplexing me for months now: AI water usage and the wildly different numbers around it.
Search Madame Morrible on Google right now…
I promise I will never use Spotify’s latest AI feature to generate our weekly 8Tracks playlists!
Who’s gonna take me on the Jojo Siwa cruise? She’s partnering with Royal Caribbean for an excursion in June with bow-making and dance classes. I went on the website they listed in the announcement video (JojoSiwaCruise.com) and Google Chrome warned me that it was an unsafe address. Is that a sign?
Sophie Kinsella, author of Confessions of a Shopaholic, died this week of brain cancer at the age of 55. I loved the movie as a kid but I finally read the book last year. It was a fun time. I’ll be checking out her latest semi-autobiographical novel What Does It Feel Like? about an author with a brain tumor. RIP queen!
This clip of an AI “actor” stacked up against Milla Jovovich is quite enlightening. It’s crazy to see how the AI takes direction (badly). Anyone who thinks they can simply create art, especially films or TV, with AI is simply delusional!
Someone got a Boy Throb tattoo and I think it’s real… Whatever floats your boat!
The Atlanta low exposure TikToks are killing me and now “Go Girl” by Summer Walker has become my new vocal stim.
Lastly, I’m about to eat dinner and watch this Vince Staples x Ziwe interview. Byeeee!
